1. Safely lift and support the front axle. Turn wheels to access the drag link
2. Remove the cotter pins and castle nuts from both ball joint studs
3. Use a ball joint separator to detach the drag link from the pitman arm and steering knuckle/tie rod

5. Compare new drag link with old - verify length, taper, and thread direction
6. Apply anti-seize to the stud threads (optional)
